Heritage building in Santiago.
The Pereira Palace is an old neoclassical mansion located in the municipality of Santiago, Chile, on San Martín street at the corner of Huérfanos. Built in the second half of the 19th century, it was declared a Historic Monument in 1981, which did not prevent it from continuing to deteriorate and remaining abandoned for decades.
Currently, the Pereira Palace is a space of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage (Mincap), whose mission is to promote the tangible and intangible cultural heritage, folklore, traditional cultures and indigenous cultures and heritage of our country.
